Saperavi

This is a gem from Georgia! Saperavi is a native Georgian variety that can be made into different styles of wine! The first style that you would try, perhaps, would be a typical dry Saperavi red wine. As a simple dry red, Saperavi has wonderful fruitness like cherries, raspberries, and a little blackcurrants. It has structured tannins but not overwhelming. When it is matured in oak, it develops more complex aromas of dark chocolate, and roasted spices. And if you wish to taste something even more interesting, Saperavi Qvevri is the answer for you. Being fermented in Qvevri gives it complex aromas of intense berries, ripe cherries, and hints of vanilla.
