The outrageous, inky/purple-hued 2009 St.-Joseph Vignes de l'Hospice boasts scents of roast beef, bacon fat, black currants, blackberries, camphor, licorice and subtle smoke along with great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a fantastic finish. It will be drinkable early in life and keep for two decades.
