The quality of the raw material (165,000 potential quintals of grapes harvested by the members and transformed every year, of which 90% is represented by Glera, the grape suitable for the production of Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Prosecco DOC) depends on the excellence of the wine. Since its foundation, the group has supported economic growth by guaranteeing adequate remuneration for winegrowing members and creating local employment. A criterion for the enhancement of the productions through a reward based on a real zoning of relevance, which also provides for rewarding for the certified organic and historic DOCG types (the latter ampelographic base with Perera, Bianchetta and Verdiso wines in addition to the classic Glera), encourages members to guarantee high quality raw materials and to implement the best agricultural practices available.
