The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is one of the largest global providers of wine, spirits and sake qualifications. For wines, there are in total 4 different levels, from beginner-level to expert-level. Here's a sharing about the learning outcomes and the exam tips for all 4 different levels.

WSET Level 1 Award in Wines (Beginner level)

Level 1 is suitable for all the new wine lovers ! The course briefly introduces the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, taste, wine descriptions and also food-and-wine pairings. After passing the assessment, a closed book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions, you will receive a WSET Level 1 certificate and lapel pin. There are no entry requirements for this level. Just make sure that you are a legal wine drinker in your country !

如果你啱啱先開始接觸葡萄酒，Level 1 就啱曬你 ！導師會帶領同學通過視覺、嗅覺同味覺認識葡萄酒，仲會簡單介紹世界上主要既葡萄品種，以及食物同葡萄酒既搭配。只要通過30 道選擇題既考試後，你就會得到 WSET Level 1 證書。Level 1 冇任何入學要求。

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines (Beginner- to intermediate-level)

Level 2 is a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification for all the wine enthusiasts who would like to deeper their knowledge about the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, like Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir. The regions in which the grapes are grown, the styles of wine they produce and the factors that impact style and quality are all included in level 2 course. Just like level 1, there are no entry requirements. Don't forget to prepare for the one-hour closed-book examination comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions to get the WSET level 2 certificate. 

如果你想深入了解世界上主要既葡萄品種，例如霞多麗、灰比諾和黑比諾，葡萄種植地區、葡萄酒風格等等，Level 2 就啱曬你。 同 Level 1 一樣，Level 2 冇任何入學要求。評核方式為50 條選擇題。

WSET Level 3 Award in Wines (Advanced level)

Level 3 is made for professionals working in the wine industry. In comparison to Level 1 & 2, Level 3 provides a more detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Unlike Level 1 & 2, to receive a WSET level 3 certificate and lapel pin, not only a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions is needed, but also a short-written answer paper and a blind tasting of two wines. 

Level 3 係專為從事葡萄酒有關行業人士而設，比起Level 1 同 2 會更詳細同深入。同Level 1 & 2 唔一樣既係，Level 3評核除左有選擇題考試，仲有盲品既部份。

WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines (Expert-level)

Level 4 is designed for deepening your expertise in wines, both theoretically and practically. Successful graduates acquire exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in evaluative wine tasting, gaining global recognition as authoritative wine specialists. To complete Level 4, you must pass all the assessments, including research assignment, open-response questions and a blind tasting. So, if you're interested in this level, just make sure you are well-prepared for the intense studies ! Also don't forget that a Level 3 certificate is compulsory for level 4 enrollment ! 

終於嚟到最高級既Level 4 ! Level 4 旨在加深你係葡萄酒方面既專業知識。作為最高級別既Level 4，評核絕對唔簡單，評核包括3,000字既短篇研究、開放式問題同盲品。呀! 係喎，差Ｄ唔記得提大家，記得要完成level 3 先可以報名Level 4架!
