Harvested by hand from 22 Sept – 14 Oct with warm and sunny days.
soft destemming of the grapes without crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel tank under controlled temperature and with daily remontages. Maceration for 20 days.
Matured for 16 months in new Allier French oak barrels with 3 rackings.
(Francois Freres oak barrels used by the Finest French Wineries D.R.C. and Leroy)

Tasting Notes
|
It's spicy and smoky with aromas of cinnamon and vanilla and a core of nicely ripe berries. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and nice balance. It's quite tasty, and it might need a little more time in bottle to finish integrating the oak.
